
Robert Traynham
President & Chief Executive Officer
Robert Traynham is the President and CEO of the Faith & Politics Institute. He serves on the board of amFAR, supporting AIDS research and advocacy, and is the Governor of Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education, affecting 82,000 students. In 2022, he founded the Martha’s Vineyard Ideas Festival, promoting the arts year-round.
Previously, Robert was the Global Spokesperson for Meta, and held positions such as Vice President of Communications for the Bipartisan Policy Center and Deputy Chief in the U.S. Senate. He has hosted shows on SiriusXM and ComcastNBC and appeared as a political analyst on MSNBC. Robert is also a professor and fellow at Georgetown University, holding degrees in political science, communications, and a Ph.D. in history. In his spare time, he enjoys photography, baking, and learning to sail.
