Shiv Patel is a second-year student at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, studying Exercise Physiology and striving to become a physician and patient advocate. A North Florida native, he is committed to ensuring care is accessible across race, language, and distance. Shiv’s passion for health equity has led him to found the Student Health Advisory Committee to strengthen student-centered health advocacy on campus, serve on the Board of Directors for CarePoint to expand access to HIV and primary care services, and advocate for cancer policy with the American Cancer Society. He also conducts health equity and oncology research with various institutions.
