Tesia is a current PhD student in Counseling Psychology at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She graduated from the University of Maryland in 2023 with a double degree in Psychology & Neurobiology. She is passionate about improving mental health equity for communities of color and is interested in studying sociocultural factors of mental health and intervention implementation/adaptation. Tesia has pursued different service and advocacy roles with the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, and Lean On Me.
