JRL Program Bio: A born and bred New Yorker, Cece King studies Arabic and Geography at Dartmouth College. She has interpreted for asylum seekers through legal clinics in New York and Texas, studied Arabic in Rabat, Morocco through a State Department scholarship, been appointed to Manhattan Community Board 8, written for several publications, and worked as a filmmaker. Inspired by her grandmother’s immigration history, Cece draws on her varied background to share stories of displacement and advocate for immigrant and refugee support and solidarity.
