JRL Program Bio: Imani Smith is a youth activist from Louisville, KY. A Politics major at Centre College in Danville, KY, in April 2022 Imani was the first Black woman elected as President of the Student Government Association. In the summer of 2020, she was involved in the Breonna Taylor protests, engaging with her community as an organizer, facilitating what would become the Youth Resistance Collective. At her core, Imani loves politics and baking for loved ones.
