JRL Program Bio: Rawan, a recent graduate from Florida State University, holds a BS in Economics and a BA in Middle Eastern Studies. During her undergraduate years, she pursued experiences rooted in her passion for foreign policy and public interest law. Her first job post-grad was as a Foreign Policy Fellow with Congressman Andy Kim, where she led the Middle East portfolio and worked on immigration, judiciary, environment, and civil rights policies. Now, she works at the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft, implementing strategic plans to advance QI’s overall mission of promoting a foreign policy centered on diplomatic engagement and military restraint. She plans to pursue law school in the coming years with a focus on international criminal law.
