JRL Program Bio: Lauren Tolbert is a Junior from Chattanooga, TN majoring in Africana Studies with a minor in Political Science. During her matriculation at Claflin University, she has been an active leader on campus, serving as the 63rd President of the Student Government Association, freshman mentor, and President of the Gamma Chi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. She will further her intellectual curiosity through graduate school research that promotes global education throughout the African diaspora.
