JRL Program Bio: Renita Marie Green, M.Div. graduated Saint Louis University and earned her Master of Divinity from Payne Theological Seminary where she is currently pursuing her Doctor of Ministry in Social Justice. Rev. Renita is an Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church, having served for twenty years in pastoral ministry. She is also a columnist for The Christian Recorder. She has taught The Theology of Ferguson and regularly guest lectures in courses on preaching, diversity, and the intersection of faith and activism. She is currently the Associate Director for Religious Diversity and Ecumenical Ministry at the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. Pastor Renita has received numerous awards and scholarships for her work in social justice and human rights.
