Her passion lies in criminal and civil rights advocacy, with an emphasis on indigent and minority communities. She is employed at the ACLU of the District of Columbia as their intake specialist, where she manages numerous legal requests and advises attorneys on case decisions. Jada also helps spearhead the ACLU-DC Stop and Frisk project, which challenges the discriminatory practice in the District, targeting BIPOC communities. Before this, Jada worked with the Criminal Defense and Prisoner Advocacy Clinic at Georgetown Law Center. There, she researched Maryland parole policies and worked with juvenile “lifers” seeking release. Jada is honored to be a John Robert Lewis Scholar and looks forward to continuing her work as an attorney.
